Re: your favourite LIVE albums
Lots of good stuff on here I'd have mentioned, but let's add one more..

Motorhead - No Sleep 'til Hammersmith.

The cover (and contents) just reminds me so much of those late 70s/early 80s Motorhead shows.

Just brilliant.

Re: your favourite LIVE albums
No lead guitarist in the Hot Rods. The band died the day they got one. Rumour was that Dave Higgs was a bit problematic to work with.

Finale an evening with Pentangle.

Recorded on the reunion tour of the original band in 2008, the last time they were ever to play together. Bert Jansch and John Renbourn have since died. I wa lucky enough to see one of those showson that tour.

OK I'll go for Eddie and the Hot Rods, Live at the Marquee. For the simple reason it changed my life.
Next week I was down the Marquee and not doing my homework, surrounded by strange ladies asking if I wanted a good time.
"I'm having a good time." I told them, "I'm seeing Eddie and the Hot Rods"
They looked puzzled.
Great band the Hot Rods.

Re: your favourite LIVE albums
Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros Live at Acton Toen Hall.

A benefit concert for striking firefighters. Mick Jones was in the audience and got up on stage to do a couple of Clash numbers. If my memory serves me well it was Joes last but one performance, 5 weeks later he was dead.

I've had it as a bootleg for years, but I'm reliably informed you can buy it now
